Salongörkesteret play True Norwegian Black Grass. That means an almost classic bluegrass setup, with banjo, mandolin, ukulele, guitar, harmonica and double bass, but played in a much more punk rock way than normal bluegrass bands do. None of us have a proper traditionalist background - we spent our youths in different bands playing punk, post-punk, folk songs, metal, Americana and otherstuff. All these influences - uh - influence us. Salongörkesteret was formed a few years ago because some of us had played together in several constellations
